VOLUNTEER FOR YOUR LOCAL WETLAND / WATERSHED GROUP

These first weeks of spring are a wonderful time to get outside and enjoy Michigan's water and wetland resources. This time of year, there are also many opportunities for wetland advocates to volunteer with place based wetland and watershed groups around the state – to help collect data, pull invasive plants, stabilize an eroding streambank with nave plants, or any number of other projects. The MWAC website has a "Groups" page that lists a number (though not nearly all) of Michigan wetland and watershed groups. If you haven't already, please take the time to contact a local group and help out!
